No matter which denomination you come from, navigating the candidacy process can be challenging. The Office of Contextual Learning exists, in part, to guide you through this process, be your advocate, and provide updated information as you progress through the various candidacy steps.
As children of God we are called to ministry in the church and the world. We each are given a variety of gifts in order to live out this calling. The Student Affairs office provides students and alumni with career services resources and support so that each person may live out their calling.
The Center for Writing and Research
Luther Seminary is dedicated to providing the seminary community with a resource for improving writing from across the curriculum. By meeting with a writing professional in a one-on-one setting, writers can get specific answers to the questions they are facing in the writing process as well as identify and address points for improvement in their own writing.
Childcare: SonShine Learning Center
SonShine Learning Center is a state-licensed Christian early education program for young children. The staff, program and facilities create a warm and friendly learning environment for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. It is currently located in Greenway Village Apartments adjacent to the Luther Seminary campus.
Luther Seminary has its own fitness center, God’s Gym, complete with weights and various exercise machines, of which students and faculty members are invited to make use. Furthermore, the seminary is in close proximity to other fitness facilities and healthcare providers.
New students are introduced to life at Luther through experiential learning opportunities involving our faculty, staff, and returning students and well as connections to the larger Twin Cities faith community. Together new students will further explore their own callings and identity as a Christian Public Leader. Students will learn how to access resources and support services to aid in the transition to the academic work of theological education and community life at Luther.
